I, Sachin Gupta as a HOD in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Dronacharya College of Engineering, my academic qualifications include a graduate degree B.SC Computer Sc.(Delhi University), subsequent to which I pursued Post Graduation : M.C.A. (I.E.T.Lucknow), M.Phil and M.Tech (DDSIPU). Currently I am pursuing Ph.D (PTU, Jalandhar) on the topic QoS and Security in Wireless Sensor Networks. |

My total teaching experience is more than ten years including teaching and research experience of one year 10 months and a total administrative experience of approx 2.5 years. |

My academic pursuit has been fairly meritorious with several awards, distinctions, scholarships and achievements including the Certificate of Academic excellence by GGSIPU in the course of my M.Tech (IT) completed in year 2006. |

Successfully managed the preparedness for and handled three Inspections (Directorate of Higher Education, guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Bar Council of India) in May-July 2008 and contributed towards an Increase in Intake in the BBA and BBA-CAM programmers from 60 to 120 seats each and also the establishment of the new Law Department conduction B.A., LL.B (5 years integrated) with an intake of 80. Handled a team of twenty members as an Academic Administrator and motivated the team towards institute development activities. |

Successfully organized and conducted the prestigious “Competence test in Software Development” (currently in its third phase out of the seven levels planned) during 2007-2008 at Maharaja Agrasen institute of Technology in association with Ms. Bhoomi Gupta (Sr. Lecturer, MAIT). The event saw over 300 participants from 12 colleges of NCR Delhi. |

Towards the research pursuit, I have tried to keep updating myself and have attended several conferences and seminars, and also presented some research papers besides contributing towards academic course material of the globally renowned MCA Programme of IGNOU. |

My subjects of interest include Algorithm Analysis and Design, Computer Network, Computer Network Security, Mobile Communications, wireless Security, Network management, Advanced Operating Systems, Software Verification, Validation And Testing, Computer Graphics and Multimedia.

I have industry experience of Sarda Agro Oils Limited, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (Rs. 360 Cr Turnover Company engaged in importing crude oil, manufacturing and marketing of edible oils at its two refineries situated at Hyderabad and Kakinada (A.P.). |
I joined this Institute on 24th August 2007 to serve it to best of my ability, availability and skills. I feel that DCE provided me with a platform from where I can not only contribute to our society but also help my country by shaping the future of our young Engineers, who are not only awakened to make their future but also aware of their responsibilities towards their fellow citizens. |
