At Dronacharya College
of Engineering Research is given a place
it really deserves. Over here both the faculty
and students avidly involve in meaningful
and result-oriented research and commendably
contribute to research programmes. Enrichment
of teaching through research is a high priority
in all the four Departments of the college.
To us quality research is as important as
quality education. The standard, quality
and utility of research is apparent from
the track records of the scholastic faculty
and the projects undertaken and completed
by the ambitious students. The projects
manifest the quintessence of the faculty’s
knowledge and role as guide and the desired
involvement of the students. The Elective
subjects generate an intense interest of
the students in the area of their special
choice and offer an opportunity to create
projects under the expert guidance of the
HOD or Senior faculty in the concerned Department.
Projects are illustrative of the creativity
of the students shaped and moulded by the
guide. The guiding team takes special care
in making a judicious selection of the theme
or topic of the project after a thorough
screening of the students’ potential,
talent, and knowledge in the chosen field
related to the Elective subject. As soon
as the topic is finalised the guiding team
lends all the possible assistance to the
desired and successful completion of the
project as envisioned. Right choice is of
vital importance before going ahead to work
on it. Projects make the students aware
of their own talent, generate confidence
for further development and serve as a spring-board
for Research and Development in the Industry.
The impact of research on the overall development
programmes is evident. Really significant
and substantive projects have earned favourable
comments from the external examiners and
experts from industries who have also frequently
complimented faculty members on their knowledge
of industry requirements. The College encourages,
motivates and supports students to take
up live projects based on latest technology.
